The state of desktop publishing in 2010
I was looking for a simple, comprehensive list of current desktop publishing software and could not find one. Here's mine. If I'm missing something, please comment here and I'll add it.
A note to the purists: Don't freak on me--this is merely a reference list, I'm not making any judgement of quality or suitability for any purpose.

Remember Deneba Software's Canvas (now ACD Systems)?

Thanks Kerry. Yes, I know it--just that I would classify it as illustration software--Freehand, Illustrator, Canvas, Corel Draw, and others. No?

CorelDraw is my page layout software of choice – I use it daily for everything from retail packaging to catalogues (and, yes, illustration). Often snubbed but quite powerful.

I understand--maybe I should add some of the Illustration programs--people seem to use them for that purpose. Like Canvas (above) it CorelDraw (as I read it) is technically classified as an illustration program--they seem to tout Ventura as their DTP program.
